Its been a few days of decisions
Since my first post, I have made some steps and thought through many of the things....
1) I completed my first online grocery ordering and pick-up! I am pretty sure it was life changing, not only will I never ever grocery shop the same way again, but it saved me a caption of money. (caption is a measurable amount in my world)
Ordering groceries online and pulling up for someone to load for you is a magical thing. Why do you ask? First of all, I bought no extras! I only bought what was on my list...which was pretty amazing.
Second, I never got out of my car. The guy came to the window, told me what was substituted and loaded them in the back of the car. I will shop like this forever and ever...as long as it is offered.
I spend anywhere from $250.00 - $300.00 every single time I walk into Wal-Mart. My entire grocery list for the week came to $109.00. My meals are planned and I have everything I need for the week.
2) My Christmas decorations are down on New Years Eve. I have made a spreadsheet of my Christmas Village so that I know what I have and I have also made a list of what to buy this coming year so that I do not randomly buy stuff all the time and there is a plan.
I did buy totes for this project. Technically they were bought before the new year...and they were on sale. But all my village and decorations are completely organized and put away into one closet
3) I bought a 52 week journal. For the specific purpose of tracking money saved.
4) I have come to terms with not spending money on foolish things.
5) Starting tomorrow the real spending freeze begins. All the rules apply.
6) Wish me luck. This will be difficult for awhile.
